Dedicated to the memory of Terence Baldwin

This site is a tribute to Terence Baldwin. He is much loved and will always be remembered.

Terry was born on 7th July 1942 in Catford, London. He was an only child until the birth of his younger brother Kenneth 7 years later. During his school years, Terry played football and this sparked his love for Chelsea Football Club who he supported his entire life.

Upon leaving school, Terry took an apprenticeship as a Lithographer within the printing industry and after qualifying he worked in printing companies in the London and Kent areas. In time, he owned his own printing business St James which he thoroughly enjoyed being a part of. In his spare time, he liked playing darts, tennis, snooker and golf and formed many friendship over the years. He competed in many professional tournaments as a darts player winning many trophies that Marion had to find a space on a shelf for!

In 1963, he met his beloved wife Marion and they later married on 5th March 1966. Whilst living in London and Kent they had 4 children Sonia, Paul, Stuart and Esther. In 1984 they relocated to Devon to get out of the London rat-race buying a large farmhouse in a hamlet in North Devon. They refurbished the farmhouse to become the loving family home they wanted for their children. In 1985, Terry's final child Terri was born on his birthday.

Terry continued to work in the printing industry in Devon and this prompted a move to South Devon in 1996 to start work with another company. Unfortunately he was made redundant from his position, but shortly after started working for Torbay Council until his retirement at the age of 72.

After retiring, Terry enjoyed holidays abroad with family finding a particular love for The King Jason in Paphos where he returned many times. He also enjoyed watching football and The Grand Prix, as well as reading books by his favourite author Chris Carter.

Terry was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, Uncle, Cousin and friend to so many. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
